I had a lot of things to say about this picture. About our children playing, hearing their mothers speak the language behind them. Letting them be theirselves on the land and surrounded by love. About how much that means to me, to us.
But I have trouble finding the words today. Today, National Day of Truth and Reconciliation. Or maybe there are too many words. And on hard days I come back to the language, to my children, and try to put those pieces back together again.
